In unpreserved lodge adjacent building the writer lived from 1920 to 1922 while working in Odesa. The museum opened in 1998 on the initiative of the public organization "Association of Paustovsky World". The main exhibition is devoted to the book written by Paustovskyi in Odesa "The time of big Hope". The museum has more than 1000 exhibits, including manuscripts, photographs, house wares (beg. XX.) and personal belongings of the author. In particular, there is presented the layout of the ship "Paustovskyi". Each interested person can try to tap "SOS" in Morse code using the famous telegraph key.
